About The Band

Steve Beckwith grew up in a small town in Maine, and he came from a family of seven children. Although all were talented in one way or another, Steve has been a musician all his life. After raising his own family of three children, with his wife Sharon, Steve at age 45 has taken to the recording industry and the local scene playing his original songs. In February of 2006, Steve entered the Record Per Month Challenge, (RPM Challenge) to write and compose 10 new songs in the 28 days of February, sponsored by a magazine called The Wire, out of Portsmouth, NH. Steve completed and produced his second album, Eddie Frank On The Edge. His First being a three song album called Back in ME, recorded in 2005.
By 2007 Steve has brought on Paul Hafford , veteteran percussionist on drums, as a permenant staple to Steve's style of play, Paul has been the background of the summer time duo called locally, "The Eddie Frank Band" . During the summer of 2006 Steve & Paul played local venues as a duo and  brought forth their tallents to a local club The Station 319, in Somersworth, NH, hosting a weekly Open Mic/Jam night every Friday night. In December of 2006, at this open mic night and old friend Rob Tortoriello appeared with his jam partners and Rob was quickly brought into the mix on bass guitar, with the addition of our guitarist/vocalist and song writer, Jim "Jimmy Doo" Resse!  The Eddie Frank Duo became the, Steve Beckwith Band, seemingly overnight!

Steve has a unique voice and style that you will quickly find yourself singing along with on his album. Steve Beckwith plays local venues in the Southern Maine and Portsmouth, NH areas, doing his best to perform his originals and very few cover tunes in his performances. An independent artists, on the edge of his love in life… music and the fans!
