Housing for the Mayan Families of The City Dump!
High on top, overlooking their next meal below!
Sad but true!
The magnitude of this Landfill is overwhelming!
Vultures Compete with Mayans for food!
Not a moment to waste in the life of a Mayan,
the best pick of the day has arrived!
Many Mayans spend their day, in search of personal belongings to salvage and pedal on the streets or to make crafts with.
A typical day at the dump!
Children under 14 years of age can no longer be in the dump.Due to massive fire and too many children were being crushed to death by garbage trucks when left unattended.
The long walk home. Notice the woman carrying the load.
Men dominate their families and abuse and rape of the women and children
is a fact of life for these people!
